Sainsbury's Active Kids

Active Kids shares The Scout Association’s passion to get more young people outdoors and active. That’s why we’re thrilled to support The Big Adventure for the third year in a row.

Together we want to get even more people involved in Scouting, from kids to volunteers, so make sure you hold your own Big Adventure to show people the fun they could have!

How can Active Kids help with your Big Adventure?

Active Kids 2012 kicks off on 15 February, so make sure your group is registered and start collecting vouchers! With an incredible range of sports, outdoor and cooking equipment available, there’s plenty to help entertain everyone at your Big Adventure. For more information on the scheme click here.

Also check out the Scouts zone on the Active Kids website for two fantastic resources packed with games, activities and cooking ideas for beaver scouts and cub scouts, and scouts and explorer scouts. So whatever you decide to do for your Big Adventure, you’ll find loads of hints and tips to make sure it goes off with a bang!

'I am delighted that we are once again going to be working with Sainsbury’s Active Kids who are supporting our national volunteer recruitment initiative, The Big Adventure.

'Two big challenges for local scout groups are volunteer recruitment and the funding of new equipment. This partnership helps to support both and is therefore very important to us.

'Through Active Kids thousands of groups have benefitted from an incredible range of equipment, topping up their existing kit with sports, cooking and outdoor items. So make sure you take part in Active Kids this year, and use your new equipment as part of your Big Adventure.

'Good luck.'
