Keeping safety a priority

The August/September issue of Scouting magazine should be dropping through your letter box over the next week. It is packed full of safety information and ideas to support you in delivering adventure to young people.

Outdoor activities, adventure and learning by doing are what makes Scouting so amazing, and everyone throughout the Movement has an active role to play in delivering Scouting safely.

With this month’s magazine you will find:

  • a special five-page safety feature
  • an updated Purple Card entitled Safe Scouting and What to do in an Emergency
  • an updated Yellow Card: Young People First
  • a safety checklist for leaders. Managers and Executive Committee members will also receive an additional checklist relevant to their role
Safety items were hand-inserted, so if you are missing any of the above, get in touch with the magazine team and we will send you replacements. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Please visit www.scouts.org.uk/safety for further safety in Scouting information.

Thank you for helping us to continue to develop and deliver safer Scouting to all of our members.
