New Deputy UK Chief Commissioner

Tim Kidd has been appointed to the new Deputy UK Chief Commissioner role. This formally recognises the responsibilities that Tim has taken on over time to develop Scouting.

As well as representing Scouting across the UK, Tim will share the responsibility for leading on specific initiatives with the UK Chief Commissioner. Tim has held many local and national roles, having been UK Commissioner for Adult Support (2006-2010) and Chief Commissioner of England (2010-date).

A Chief Commissioner for England

Tim’s appointment creates the vacancy for a Chief Commissioner of England to work in partnership with Mark Tarry. Mark will be directly responsible for a number of strategic objectives and supporting specific projects in England. The new Chief Commissioner of England role will support and lead the development of Scouting via County Commissioners through the eight England Regional Commissioners.
