Tree Climbing


Description
The traditional childhood pasttime of climbing up through the branches of a tree, where this can be done safely without the need of any ropes or safety equipment and where the risk of injury from a fall is minimal.

All ages, particularly Beavers/Cubs

How to run/provide tree climbing

There are 2 ways of running Tree Climbing in Scouting. These are:

  1. Scout-led activity - running tree climbing yourself or using someone else in Scouting

  2. Externally-led activity - running tree climbing using an external provider
