Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) is a water based activity using a specially designed inflatable or hard board with a paddle to propel yourself through the water. There are many different disciplines of SUP for people to enjoy from racing to white water.

Who is it suitable for?
All sections, Beavers may struggle depending on the kit that is being used.

How to run/provide stand up paddleboarding (sup)

There are 3 ways of running Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) in Scouting. These are:

  1. Scout-led activity - running stand up paddleboarding (sup) yourself or using someone else in Scouting

  2. Externally-led activity - running stand up paddleboarding (sup) using an external provider

  3. Activity for adult groups - running stand up paddleboarding (sup) for a group entirely of adults
