03: Tools for the Role (Section Leaders)

Tools for the Role (Section Leaders) is a mandatory module for Section Leaders, Assistant Section Leaders and Section Assistants. It covers the basic information on the individual’s role or area of responsibility and some practical help to get the individual started in the role. Topics covered:

Course, small group or one-to-one

Module 3 is available to be completed as a course, in a small group or one to one. Please contact your local training team or speak to your Training Adviser for more information, including dates of local courses.


Module 3 is also available as e-learning. This e-learning will function on a range of systems and devices, detailed in these e-learning FAQs.

We would strongly advise you to watch the how-to guide video for using e-learning before you begin the e-learning. This can be viewed here.

Please note: If you are unable to print your certificate for any reason please save it as a .png file or take a screen shot of the page. Please do not save the web link as an alternative to printing the certificate, as this will expire once you leave the browser and your certificate will be lost. If your certificate will not load and only shows a blank screen please take a screenshot of the final page prior to selecting the certificate as proof of learning. This can be shared with your Training Adviser when you meet to discuss the learning and validate the module.
