Ice climbing


Ice climbing is a winter activity involving climbing up features covered in ice using crampons and ice axes.

How to run/provide ice climbing

There are 3 ways of running Ice climbing in Scouting. These are:

  1. Scout-led activity - running ice climbing yourself or using someone else in Scouting

  2. Externally-led activity - running ice climbing using an external provider

  3. Activity for adult groups - running ice climbing for a group entirely of adults
