Scout Community Week: Sign up to get involved

Scout Community Week (14 to 20 May 2012) is a great opportunity to make a big difference to your community and raise funds for Scouting.

Since launching the idea in October, over a thousand groups have signed up for more information. Register today to join them in a mission to undertake positive community fundraising projects up and down the UK.

Consult the community

We've also been receiving ideas from communities about what they would like your Scouts to do. When deciding on a project, make sure you get the whole Group involved and listen to the concerns of local residents and organisations.

Badges and awards

Scout Community Week opens the door to a multitude of badge prospects. Your young people could achieve the Cub Community Challenge, Beaver Outdoor Challenge, Explorer Community Activity Badge, Cub and Scout DIY Activity Badges, and the Environment Partnership Award.

Participants who raise funds and donate 25 per cent to the Development Grants Board will receive a Scout Community Week Badge. Fundraising and information packs will be sent out in the new year to everyone who has registered.
