Visual Resources

Printed or visual resources may help you to support young people with learning or communication difficulties in their understanding, and encourage full participation in Scouting. These may be particularly helpful for young people on the autism spectrum.

The youth resources available from Scout Shops, contain basic information for all young people, about Scouting and their section, or about badges and awards.

You can download some visual stories, about various aspects of Scouting below. These are available with symbols and without symbols.

The visual stories with symbols have been created in partnership with Widgit, and may be the preferred format for young people who have difficulties with reading or who find pictures helpful.
