Rowing


Description
Rowing, and also sculling, are forms of rowing activities which use boats with sliding seats. These are the type of boats to be found in events such as The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race or in the Olympics.

Who is it suitable for?
This activity is suitable for Scout section upwards.

How to run/provide rowing

There are 3 ways of running Rowing in Scouting. These are:

  1. Scout-led activity - running rowing yourself or using someone else in Scouting

  2. Externally-led activity - running rowing using an external provider

  3. Activity for adult groups - running rowing for a group entirely of adults
