Global programme ideas
Learning about the world, its environment and our society is an integral part of Scouting. We call this collection of topics the global programme. It's woven throughout the 6-25 programme to support young people to become global citizens but it can mostly be found in the international badge, global issues badge, world challenge award and the top-awards.
Elements of the Global Programme include:
International – learning about Scouting in other countries and as a global movement. Exploring and celebrating other cultures through travel and in our own communities.
Global – engaging with the world around us: exploring the nature on our doorstep, discovering issues that societies tackle around the world and meeting the people that provide vital services in our communities. Learning how both as Scouts and citizens, we can positively impact and leave the world a better place
