Bear on Radio 2 with Chris Evans 30/09

If you didn't catch it directly, you may like to listen to some great coverage yesterday afternoon with Bear on the Chris Evans show. Bear’s interview is around 22 mins in, although there is good banter throughout and especially following the record after Bear’s interview.

Just the sort of everyday coverage that we are looking for, even if not entirely perfect..........

Some excellent publicity from the Chief Scout on Radio2
Shame about the Gang Show question from Chris Evans! Hope that we receive thousands of enquiries from prospective new leaders.

We managed to catch it live. I thought he did very well. Perhaps the International Commissioner can have a chat to him with his other hat on from Warwickshire so that he knows what a Gang Show is. When we visited Dallas they thought a Gang Show was Scouts cooking, pitching tents and tying knots on stage, honestly no word of a lie.
For someone so new to the movement to pick up all of our strange ways so quickly it looks good for the future. If the odd question throws him so be it, I’ll forgive him and so will 99.9% of our members.
I have made some real gaffs in my time and I have been in scouting most of my life.
Well done Bear.

Wonderfull radio for someone on the spot talking about Scouting, Bear mentioned all the important things the our everyday adventure which we as leaders provide for all.

Thanks Radio2 and finally I enjoyed the music which Chris played for Bear and all us Scouts

I loved the whole Scouty atmosphere that came across on the show. So what if Bear was a little unsure on Gang shows, we can't all know everything. And I'd also like to congratulate and Thank, Chris and the others who Chris talked about, for becoming ambassadors for Scouting. :)
