National Grid announces badge competition winners

The winners of the Cub Scout Home Safety Activity Badge competition have been announced by National Grid.

The competition was run as part of the company’s sponsorship of the badge. Cub Scouts were asked to design their own hazards poster of a place they go to, based on the activity pack they complete to gain the badge.

Each winner receives a £50 voucher to spend at Scout Shops, plus a cash prize for their Group to spend on equipment.

Sally Hilton, Corporate Partnerships Executive at The Scout Association said, 'The Cub Scout Home Safety Activity Badge, sponsored by National Grid goes from strength to strength. The activity pack continues to be one of the most popluar resources for Cub leaders.'

Over 155,000 Cub Scouts have completed the Home Safety Activity Badge since National Grid began its sponsorship in 2007.

The winners are:

1st - £750 - 20th Southgate - Kenenna and Leo
2nd - £500 - 29th Glasgow - Scott
3rd - £300 - 3rd Kingston - Henry
