Leading the south west

We are delighted to announce that Hamish Stout has been appointed Regional Commissioner of the south west Region.

Hamish will lead Scouting in the south west from 1 September 2014 and will take over from Gordon Weston, who has been in the role since 2007.

Hamish brings a wealth of experience to the role; most recently as volunteer line-manager in the County Commissioner of Berkshire role, where he played a key role in the County’s year-on-year growth.

He has also undertaken a number of other roles in Scouting, including the Chair of the Vision 2018 Growth group and the National Commissioner for Venture Scouts.

Hamish’s responsibility in the Regional Commissioner role will be to directly lead, support and manage the team of County Commissioners in the south west and support the strategic management and development of the Region.
