The results show that members largely feel proud and positive about Scouting: 87% of members would recommend volunteering with Scouting to family and friends, 93% feel proud to tell people that they are a Scout volunteer and 90% believe that they are making a positive impact on their community.
Survey results have been shared with the Trustee Board and HQ’s volunteer team and staff. They have also been shared locally were there were sufficient responses for anonymity. Key findings are now being addressed by work plans and targets have been set in The Scout Association’s strategic plan (2014-2018) to improve members’ experiences of Scouting.
