Description
Gorge Walking is a fun way to explore the rivers and streams in a rocky and sometimes aquatic adventure activity.

Who is it suitable for?
Cubs to Network, however you might have to have higher ratios for the younger sections.

Gorge Walking is very popular in South Wales and the South Wales Outdoor Activity Providers Group (SWOAPG) list providers who can offer Ghyll Scrambling on their website.



How to run/provide canyoning

There are 3 ways of running Canyoning in Scouting. These are:

  1. Scout-led activity - running canyoning yourself or using someone else in Scouting

  2. Externally-led activity - running canyoning using an external provider

  3. Activity for adult groups - running canyoning for a group entirely of adults
