05: The Fundamentals of Scouting

Module 5: The Fundamentals of Scouting is for all adults in Scouting working towards the award of their Wood Badge. This module supports the learner to consider The Fundamentals and the Religious Policy and their relationship with the programme delivered to young people. The module explores the guiding principles of Scouting; the core values which The Scout Association stands for and believes in.

Course, small group or one-to-one

Module 5 is available to be completed as a course, in a small group or one to one. Please contact your local training team or speak to your Training Adviser for more information, including dates of local courses.

e-learning

Module 5 is also available as e-learning. This e-learning will function on a range of systems and devices, detailed in the e-learning FAQs.

We would strongly advise you to watch the how-to-guide video for using e-learning before you begin the e-learning. This can be viewed here.

Please note: If you are unable to print your certificate for any reason please save it as a .png file or take a screen shot of the page. Please do not save the web link as an alternative to printing the certificate, as this will expire once you leave the browser and your certificate will be lost. If your certificate will not load and only shows a blank screen please take a screenshot of the final page prior to selecting the certificate as proof of learning. This can be shared with your Training Adviser when you meet to discuss the learning and validate the module.
