Activity pack: OMSCo Global Conservation Activity Badge

Sponsored by OMSCo and launched by wildlife TV presenter Chris Packham, the resource pack takes Cubs back to nature as they learn the importance of protecting our wildlife and how organic farming helps do this.

The downloadable worksheets have been designed to help your Cubs work towards their badge with activities including making compost, creating a forest garden and learning about endangered species.

Book your hedgerow safari

In addition to the activity sheets and as part of the Global Conservation Badge, Cub Scouts can now enjoy exploring the world around them with a Hedgerow Safari on an organic farm.

Your Pack will spend a morning discovering what creepy crawlies and furry friends live in the British hedgerow and learn more about why it is important to support this native ecosystem. They will get close up with nature by checking live mammal traps for mice and voles as well as catching insects using sweep nets and pooters.

And to round it off each Cub will be given a cup of fresh organic milk to enjoy.
