UK Representation

The UK Scout Association has a pool of Network members who are trained and supported to represent the Association at international seminars, conferences and events organised by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and some other international organisations and networks.

International seminars and conferences are a chance for some of the bigger issues in Scouting to be explored and discussed on an international platform. Events are often residential with a packed schedule of meetings, discussions and workshops so be prepared to develop your skills in communication, negotiation and facilitation.

UK Representation pool members have a good knowledge of Scouting and a motivation to learn about the issues, policies and procedures which underpin Scouting activities. Full training is  given to support all levels of experience to develop knowledge and skills in this area.

UK Representation pool members attend UK meetings (or conference calls) to ensure they are briefed and to make sure that outcomes and learning are fed into existing areas of work in the UK.

Members who have been selected into the UK Representation pool receive support and training and are matched with international events and conferences which complement their motivations, skills and experience.

If you are interested in being part of the UK representation pool, please email international@scouts.org.uk and you will be notified about when the next selection will take place.
