Grants for celebrating a young person’s Gallantry of Meritorious Conduct Award

The Scout Association has one fund to help support young people (6-25) who have been awarded a Gallantry or Meritorious Conduct Award

The Cornwell Memorial Fund

The Cornwell Memorial Fund was created ‘to assist Scouts who have qualified as Cornwell Scouts and all other recipients of Gallantry and Meritorious Awards, so long as they are members of the Movement.’

The Fund is open to all recipients of Gallantry and Meritorious Awards, including recipients of the Cornwell Badge. On receipt of an award, recipients or their Group may apply for a grant for the young person to undertake an activity to celebrate their achievement with their section, Unit or Group.

We cannot fund activities that are undertaken by the individual with their family, on their own or with another organisation.

Applications must be made within 6 months of the young person being presented with their award.

Applications are limited to one grant per award achieved. Grants are usually £300 per award.
