Yachting is the activity of travelling in a boat powered by the wind through the use of a sail in offshore, tidal waters.

Who is it suitable for?
All sections, however you might want higher supervision ratios for the younger sections.

How to run/provide yachting

There are 3 ways of running Yachting in Scouting. These are:

  1. Scout-led activity - running yachting yourself or using someone else in Scouting

  2. Externally-led activity - running yachting using an external provider

  3. Activity for adult groups - running yachting for a group entirely of adults
