Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) defines the structure of Scouting in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man and provides information about its management and training.

Scouting’s Policy Organisation and Rules (POR) provides support and guidance to help us all run Scouting. Following a series of reviews and consultations with members, a number of updates have been made to the May 2018 edition. These include:

A Privacy and Data Protection Policy has been included as a Key Policy to reflect the recent changes in GDPR legislation.
- Rule 3.1 (o) updated to reference continuous membership.
- Rule 3.3 (a & b) updated to reference continuous membership.
- Rule 4.1 (o) updated to reference continuous membership.
- Rule 4.3 (a, b, c & d) updated to reference continuous membership.
- Rule 5.1 (n) updated to reference continuous membership.
- Rule 5.3 (a, b, c & d) updated to reference continuous membership.
- Rule 13.1(f) has been updated to ensure compliancy with current law.
- Rule 14.11 and 14.12 removed as Privacy and Data Protection Policy now included in Chapter 2
