Grants and funds to support local Scouts

Freeze on All Grant Applications New and Pending
As you are aware, due to Covid-19 and the Government restriction guidelines around it, face to face scouting has been suspended until further notice.
Because of this, we need to put all new and pending grant applications on hold. Our grants are about helping young people and adults participate in Scouting – training, trips, camps, events, purchases and starting up new sections/groups etc. which cannot currently take place. So if you have recently sent in an application, or plan to submit a grant application for funding, we are currently unable to consider your request. Unfortunately, this means that if you have not heard from us about a grant that you've already applied for, it will be hold and we will get back to you as soon as face-to-face Scouting returns when it is safe to do so.
We do apologise for the inconvenience but unfortunately, we have no alternative in the current situation.
Please do check scouts.org.uk/coronavirus for any updates around covid-19 and how it is affecting service currently.

For urgent enquiries only, please contact the Information Centre and they will do their very best to help you. Email: info.centre@scouts.org.uk  (Opening hours: 9am to 5pm weekdays)

Thank you for your cooperation at this very difficult time and we hope that you continue to stay safe!
With our very best wishes to you,

The Scouts Grants Committee

The Scouts are very fortunate to have received a number of donations from individuals and organisations to give back locally. These donations are for those who need financial support with Scouting and cover a range of activities.

Funding opportunities

Looking for funding? The types of activities we fund and to find details of how to apply.

The Scout Grants Committee

The Scout Grants Committee is the group of national volunteers who support the management of the grants provided to local Scouts. You can find more information about the Committee here.

General notes about UK HQ Grants

We require information and evidence relating to applicant accounts in most cases. We will not fund groups/units etc who are in a position to support themselves. Please see the SGC reserves policy for full details.
