The Queen’s Scout Award is the culmination of everything that Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members have achieved in Scouting.
The Reach the Top support guide has been updated to reflect the changes from the International, Environment and Values list (IEV) to the International, Communities and Values list (ICV). This document now contains all information for Explorer Scouts, Scout Network members, Leaders and Commissioners in once place.
The refreshed guide also offers support for members who are working towards their Chief Scout's Platinum and Chief Scout's Diamond Award.
Note: guidance in the new Reach the Top resource now allows for nights away from the Chief Scout's Platinum Award to be counted for the Chief Scout's Diamond Award; nights away used towards the Chief Scout's Diamond award can now be counted towards the Queen's Scout Award. This makes the nights away cumulative at each level of award.
Download the Reach the Top guide for Explorer Scouts, Scout Network members, Leaders and Commissioners, here.
Note: This refreshed guide replaces both of the previous support materials 'Reach the Top: Information for Participants' and 'Helping them Reach the Top: Information for Leaders and Commissioners'.
A logbook is available to support Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members to track the activities they have completed for their Queen’s Scout Award, the completion form is on the final page. Download the logbook here.
These new training materials aim to enable adults to support Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members through the completion of their Queen’s Scout Awards. It covers the key elements of the QSA, who it is for and the links between the Chief Scout and Duke of Edinburgh Awards. These materials have been created for volunteers with knowledge of the award to deliver as a workshop locally.
